Payroll Administrator (PA)

Job Purpose

To support the HR and payroll team in the timely and accurate production and processing of payroll for the Group and providing effective and efficient generalist HR support to the team. This full-time, permanent role is based in Kings Hill, offering a hybrid working model of 2 days in the office and 3 days from home.

Accountabilities

Planning

  • Support the planning and management of payroll changes as they are produced throughout the month. Maintain an accurate record of changes, liaising with the GHRD, HR team and maintaining the HR platform to ensure information is captured accurately within the month.
  • Support the HR and finance teams in the planning, development, and implementation of new processes to ensure employees are engaged, acting with integrity to communicate and uphold Group values.

Delivering

  • Support the delivery of timely and accurate processing of the monthly payroll, including pensions and bonus payments ensuring the delivery of electronic payslips and employee pay in line with contractual dates and business targets.
  • Support the GHRD and HR team in the delivery of generalist HR support to the Group enabling the team to meet its services delivery targets and objectives.
  • Assist the HR team in the processing of employee records in the payroll system, including starters and leavers and where required, arranging the collection and delivery of company assets, in line with company policy and current legislation.

Reporting

  • Produce reports as and when required using the HR and payroll systems to support the GHRD, HR and finance teams ensuring information is provided clearly and accurately

Resourcing

  • Support the onboarding of new starters ensuring they are processed accurately for timely payroll processing. Liaising with internal and external stakeholders ensuring relationships are maintained.

Success criteria

  • Delivery of accurate and on-time monthly payroll processing. Ensuring payslips and pay are delivered in line with contractual deadlines and business targets and objectives are met.
  • Work with key internal and external stakeholders to support the effective delivery of payroll and HR services. Answering queries in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Working with the HR and Finance teams to support effective response to plan changes across the Group with the GHRD.

Context

The HRA is accountable through the business cycle for:

  • Supporting the GHRD and HR and finance team in the effective, timely and accurate delivery of payroll across the Group meeting business targets and objectives.
  • Working with key internal and external stakeholders and the GHRD to ensure queries are responded to effectively maintaining positive and sustainable relationships required to support the delivery of the 3YP.
