Product Manager – Activ

Role Overview

The initial focus of this individual taking up this role will be to develop a product development roadmap for Activ through the canvassing of input from key stakeholders. The development roadmap will cover:

  • Priorities for functionality and content enhancements across the Activ platforms.
  • Establishment of effective cross-functional collaboration processes.
  • Identify obvious gaps in the current course portfolio.
  • Create a product development plan to close gaps in the quality standard for existing products and close gaps in the course portfolio.

Core Responsibilities

Planning:

  • Manage the specification, delivery and launch of new Activ content and functionality.
  • Own and maintain a 12-24 roadmap of product updates to exploit opportunities identified from customer feedback and main compliance with stakeholder requirements.
  • Stay abreast of market developments and stakeholder requirements that provide opportunities for and priorities functionality or content enhancements.

Delivering:

  • Create and maintain specifications for functionality and content enhancements.
  • Create new and update existing content where needed.
  • Provide tight oversight and sign-off of new enhancements.
  • Ensure that product functionality and content developments are supported by appropriate market size, pricing and customer need assessments.
  • Lead the role-out of Activ to new Amtivo businesses, including internationally.

Reporting:

  • Develop and maintain KPIs that ensure robust oversight of the product development process and end-user experience is maintained as well as advance intelligence on opportunities for new product development and product enhancements.

Resourcing:

  • In line with agreed budgets, maintain and where required recruit resources needed to develop and maintain content.

  • Full adoption by all Amtivo Certification business operating at scale.

Experience and Qualifications:

Essential qualifications and experience:

  • Software product management experience.
  • Creation and execution of functionality specifications.
  • Creation of simplified end-user content that is derived from subject areas that are technical in their nature.
  • 3 years in previous experience in Product Management.
  • Have been a Project Manager in previous experience.
  • B2B Product sales experience.
  • Experience in Customer Data Insight.
  • Product Specification writing.

Desirable (but not essential) qualifications:

  • Experience of implementation of an ISO Certified quality, environmental, health and safety and/or information security management system.
  • Product-related market sizing and pricing.
